What is Spacebar Network?

Spacebar Network, shortened as "Spacebar", "SPBR", or as our former name "Splatfestival Network", is a Nintendo Network continuation with the goal of providing the best experience possible. Our servers are designed to be:

(A) Fast

(B) Stable

(C) Secure

AND MOST IMPORTANTLY:

(D) With functionality as close to Nintendo Network as possible

Q&A

How do I set up SPBR?

Setting up SPBR is a super easy task! We support unmodded & aroma modded consoles, and you may do so by viewing the guide.

How can I purpose network rule changes?

You may do so by checking out our Policy repo. Here you can make merge requests and our moderators will review them.

For technical issues or resetting your password, you must join our discord server by going to the website and scrolling to the bottom, now click "Join the Discord".

Once verified, please go to the #assistance channel and ping a SPFN developer.

Are you a Pretendo fork?

No. We are not affiliated with Pretendo. As it stands, we do not use any pretendo code in any shape or form on our servers, and are doing our best to distinguish ourselves from Pretendo Network. Our network works in wildly different ways. (If you wish to see an example, please view rust-nex.) We do our own research and any outside information is retrieved from the Nintendo Clients Wiki.

Can I contribute using AI?

No. You are barred from putting any of our projects into generative AI, claude code, or any sort of code assistance AI, with the exception of inline (e.g., via your IDE.)

How can I self-host Spacebar Network?

Each repository may have a different guide, however if you are still confused, you may be able to receive help from one of our developers in the discord. If you cannot find the discord, visit our website and scroll to the footer.

Are you affiliated with Nintendo, or in contact with them?

Nope. Spacebar Network is not affiliated, or in contact with Nintendo LTD Co., our network is for preservation of the online services that Nintendo previously hosted. We are not liable if you are held in violation of the Nintendo Network Code of Conduct for using our services.
