Translations for the guides into several languages to make it easier for users to understand.
Translated so far:
For Translators:
Let me know through #splatfest-testing in the Splatfestival discord that you are interested in providing translations and I will assign you to the language above. If someone is already working on translations for your language, please still standby to peer review as I can't do this myself.
Click on the language you wish to translate and it will link you to the folder in this repo that contains all of the files that need translations. Download the folder as a .zip and work on the files from there if you don't have a git account. For
buttons.html, the label inside of each entry must be translated to change the guide buttons on the side of the website. For all of the .md files, the entire document must be translated. Please ensure the translations follow a similar format to the English translation so it remains consistent, but this is not completely restricted to a direct translation. If you can rewrite sections to make it easier to read, go for it, as long as it still carries the original point.Once you have finished translating, recompress the files and send them to me through #splatfest-testing in the Splatfestival discord and I will commit it to the repo on a new branch. I will then notify that the translation has been uploaded to get peer review from other members to ensure everything is correct before merging it and deploying to spfn.net.
For future updates to guides I will open translations for anyone to adjust the documents, not just the people who were initially assigned to it, and it will follow a similar format of getting committed to a new branch and peer reviewed.
Thanks in advance for all of your contributions! Everything helps to make this project accessible to more people.
if you're familiar with git you can also go through the fork process and make a pull request
